Roads
The city of Ariano Irpino, being part of the provincial network of Avellino, is extended over a territory of 185.52 sKm; consequentely of the orographic aspect of the territory it is linked by a limited road net:

The statal roads SS 90 and SS 90 bis, linked with Puglia and Benevento in which it inserts itself the SS 414 coming from Montecalvo Irpino;

The SS 91 which links the zone with the Ofantina road and, through this, with Salerno;

The SS 7 linked with Avellino;

The "Manna - Tre Torri" which favourites the reaching of the A 16 highway at the height of Tre Torri into Ariano's territory.


Railroads
It is available only one railroad service: the statal railline Napoli - Benevento - Foggia, situated in the Cerreto locality, 7 Km from the urban center. For info about times click here.

Attention: the station is now without operative personnel due to lack of personnel into the FS (Statal Railroads).

It is in wait the starting of the building of a railline deviation Apice - Valle Ufita - Savignano Irpino, which will run into a great part of the territory to the north-west of Ariano.


Pullmans
It is possible to come to Ariano Irpino easily also in pullman: there are in fact many runs at day that, from Naples or from Avellino, reach directly (via highway) Grottaminarda and then Ariano.
From Grottaminarda, depending of the hour, you can continue for Ariano taking another pullman i.e. changing pullman, or continuing into the same one.
